Salsa cubana/Casino.

The actual/proper name of “Cuban-style salsa”, Casino is danced in a circular pattern (unlike linear salsa), with both partners constantly walking and rotating around each other. Having various basic steps, it tends to be slightly more complex than salsa. It is fun and playful.

What we do in Casino group lessons:

In the intro level of Casino, having some salsa or Latin dance experience is ideal. We learn the various basic steps and the differences between Casino and linear Salsa. We dance to Cuban-style salsa and switch partners to help each other learn and keep things fun.

In the non-intro levels, we learn more complex moves to link into longer patterns and we review other Cuban dances (rumba, son, pilon, etc) that sometimes playfully insert themselves into Casino. We also switch partners frequently to help each other advance our learning together.
